EDFC Install Project: GS400
#20
Very nice and clean install. I am still deciding where to mount the edfc. I bought the single din head unit mount that has an open tray, and was considering mouning it in that tray and then fiberglassing around it to make it flush. Do you think having it in the dash under the head unit would be a good place for it?

Thanks ALL !
I am still working on one or two more projects before Carson, so I won't be able to respond often.
Fiberglassing is probably not neccessary, unless you want to make some fancy contours. The higher up in the dash you put the EDFC , the better you will be able to keep your eyes on the road.
I think you could probably just make a trim plate out of flat ABS plastic to fill the tray and just cut out a hole for the EDFC.

very nice that you share such detailed pics. Many would want to keep such a sweet setup for themselves only.
Any chance you want to produce a kit for this?

The pics are free though and I've got a lot of missing steps documented with photos. I will follow up with Ethan about posting my projects in a specific section, like the DIY.
