Oldie but a goodie.
This was awesome work.
This gets my vote as the best ever mod in a GS interior.

Wow, thanks !!!

It's been 3 years since this was done and I can say that everything is holding up well and I haven't touched the install since.

Those in NorCal who want to see this in person, just come to the EOS meet and I'll be happy to show it to ya. Shamless plug. www.LGWNorCal.com

Interestingly enough I am doing another EDFC custom install that I think would be a good alternative location to this one. I will post that idea in say a month or so.

Glen,
You should open up your own Pimp My Ride shop.

I have 2 questions then Glen:
1) Have you had any EDFC problems at all? Motors? Need to reset the thing ever?
2) Where's the other location? No need for proprietary details, I'm just getting ready to put mine in.

Nope, never touched a thing since it went in. Motors get excercised often and no issues. All my wires were soldered and tie-wrapped neatly, so that doesn't hurt.

The other location is replacing the ashtray door with a glass molded piece and using a bolt on design, allowing everything to go back to stock.

Thanks. I'm already using the ashtray location for an EQ and Sirius tuner controller. That ashtray hasn't seen the light of day since 2002. Good location for EDFC if you have it open though.
In fact, just tonight I ripped the EQ & Sirius out, and putting in a digital EQ controller & bass maximizer EPIC-160 in its place. I think I'm putting the EDFC under the steering wheel where the air vent is. Just a bit hard to access there.
