If its a new caliper, you bled the system, yes?
Air in the line will expand more with heat than a line filled with fluid. Did you pressure bleed the brakes?
Is that rotor and caliper hot to the touch/hotter than the other side? If you open the bleeder and spin the rotor say 4x, does it continue to drag? If so, verify the pistons have the freedom to retract completely so the pads can pull back from the rotor. If they can't something is wrong.
