Lowering Questions
Alright, I would like to lower my car but have run into an issue on a volkswagen in the passed when I bought springs that the car did not sit like it should. The side with the gas tank sat remarkably lower than the other side and I dont want to have to go through that headache again, also I am looking for springs that will lower the front reverse rake that comes on these cars. what do you guys recommend for this?

What car do you have? RWD? AWD? 250/350?

I installed RSR down springs on my 14 AWD 350 and have been very happy.
The negative rake is still there a bit but much better than stock for sure. This will impact ride quality but almost all aftermarket options will.
Keep in mind that a proper alignment can't be achieved with the stock suspension components if you install lowering springs (might be able to get away with stock alignment on half downs, don't know). I went with SPC rear camber arms and adjustable ball joints. If you're going to do that you should also consider aftermarket lower control arm bushings to eliminate the front tire cupping/wear issue that most of us deal with. Not sure if it's as bad on the 17 as it was on my 14, but you'll only get 10-15k on summer tires with stock bushings.
