So I recently took my 2010 Lexus is250 to the Lexus dealership because most of my lights on the dash were on and a loud whining noise was coming from the dash. They said they couldn't connect their TechStream to the car because it wouldn't respond back so they had to check for the problem manually and I just got a call and they said the problem was the ABS Actuator and they are charging me about $4K to replace it. Is their anyway I can replace this myself? Ive been looking everywhere but I can't seem to find anything that helps. How do I replace the ABS Actuator and where is it located?

You ever make any headway? Yes, it can be done but you would need the OBD port working and proprietary software from Toyota connected to that port. Not sure how the ABS would take out the OBD. Although I have never seen it done, there may be a way to do it without their hardware/software.
