Supra TT Brake hiss pulsing noise, solution?
Hey now, I recently did my pads and rotors, they were getting rather worn and ontop of that the rotors were incredibly warped.
That being said the sound that is coming from my brakes is reminiscent to the pads hitting the rotor's high spot prior to me replacing them.
When I took them apart I noticed the old pads did not have any backing plate on them, nor did they have the "shims" that you dab a couple globs of anti-squeal grease ontop of the backing plate.
I've got everything lubed and the anti-rattle equipment on, aswell as a backing plate for the pads and the noise I'm hearing leads me to ask; would lack of these shims cause all the noise I'm hearing?
https://my.mixtape.moe/khevyd.mp4 Heres a video of it. (clublexus wouldn't let me upload)
Apologies for all the noise but it's the gentle "tss tss tss tss" noise which turns more into a chirp if the brakes are not pressed every once and awhile.
Pic related is said shims that go on the back of the pads.
Thank you in advance for helping my stupidity.
