Default Rwd models front lower ball joint replacement

Is replacing the front lower ball joint for rwd models as simple as unbolting the existing tie rod end/ball joint assembly and slapping in a new one? I read this guide, but this appears to apply to AWD models only, correct?

That's the correct DIY for the RWD ISX50.
