Akebono Brake Pads 2017 IS F sport
Hey guys, its about that time to change my pads. I've been looking at the forums and have decided to go with the Akebono pads. Can anyone tell me the 'ACT 1118' can my 2017 lexus is 200t Fsport model?

I recommend the ASP 1118's as they are a little sportier than the ACT's. But if you insist on the ACT's, then yes ACT 1118's are the front pads.

Both are great. You are going to get slightly more dust with the ASP's vs the ACT pads, but you also get ever so slightly improved braking (the difference in dust or braking performance is negligible to be honest...I had the the ACT for about 3,000 miles and now the ASP pads for close to the same). In hindsight I should have kept the ACT pads since the difference is so little.

Both the ACT and ASP pads have squealed but only when it's cold or wet, and only for the first few pushes on the brakes (and strangely almost always only when reversing).

I just went with regular ones. Slotted may be better for off-road and track, drilled may be better for wet, maybe for cooling, but then you lose some surface area, they probably can't be turned, and they likely wear pads out faster. Didn't really see the value in paying extra for it.

SO the Akebono ACT work great, had no squeals, definitely less dust!!! (that's what i hoping for). For the F Sport, they are just about as equal in braking performance, i might give the FSport a slight edge over breaking if you decide to speed a couple of times up & down the road. But I am pleased with it none the less
