Default Harsh ride after new bushings

I replaced all 4 struts(kyb oem replacement) and all front bushings with ployurethane. The ride is unbelievably harsh/jarring when hitting bad roads, pits in the road and road reflectors/bumpers. I would relate it to feeling like I'm riding on something with zero shocks. On the road with dips or speed bumps, the struts seem to work just fine.

Is this an effect of the new bushings or did I do something wrong with the struts? (I'm guessing that to correctly troubleshoot I should probably take it to a suspension company like Wheel Works, but just wanted to get some input)

Is able to handle a corner no problem at 80mph! <grin>

Thanks!

I`d say normal. polyurethane bushings are usually advertised as more aggressive and firm to better handle etc. The OE or OEM in your case are a middle ground for ride and smoothness.

However only a qualified tech can really look at your work and determine whether anything is wrong

It will certainly make your ride much stiffer because you got rid of all of the "cushiness" that the play in the oem bushings provide. They should break in and soften up over time. Still worth checking everything over to be sure nothing is hitting/binding causing you to lose any suspension travel. The rear of my car has all poly bushings (front not yet, long story lol), but it was a pretty noticeable difference in ride until they broke in a little bit.

The only place i put poly bushings is on the steering rack. the rest of the car i have rubber bushings. I think that's the best rout because you keep the cushiness but get better steering feedback.
