TRAC light

about 5 seconds after the car is started there is a whirring sound (sounds like an electric drill) behind the dash/engine bay and 7 seconds later it stops, then the TRAC light comes on. Does the TRAC system use a pump for pressure build up or maybe the ABS pump is linked with the TRAC system? What is the round motor right next to the M/C that points down at 45 degrees. I think that is where the noise is coming from. It does not affect driving and the ABS light never comes on....?

there is an ABS accumulator right in front of the brake booster/master cylinder, that's probably what's making the noise, you might be low on brake fluid or the ABS system might need a bleed. you can find how to bleed the ABS system, it has its own bleeder valves.
