Do you have any other pictures showing the backing plate clearance? I haven't seen the factory Mark X setup up close, but the fitment should be the same for both. If it's touching that would seem odd. :\

Jeff
That backing shield has literally no clearance couldn't get it to sit flat on hub to judge, but those 2IS wheels also waste barrel space with the two steps (probably for strength).

I definitely need to find someone to test fit the 3IS wheels. I really don't want to buy 19" GS or RC as spare wheels to sit for years. My OEM wheels have been in storage for 13+ years (i've used them for a few months at a time, twice, when i was rebuilding my 3-piece wheels).

So how much of a spacer was needed to make this "BBK" work on factory 18s? I have to run at least a 8mm spacer for my 19" Genesis Track wheels to fit without rubbing the caliper (spokes, not barrel).

No spacer since the spoke face offset is fine, its the barrel diameter that is the issue. Just a poor design on the gradual step of the 06-11 OEM rim.
I think the other 18" OEM options (Gspider, Xpackage, etc) fit cause the 4GS guys run some of these on their winter setups.

So no amount of spacer will allow that next higher level of the barrel to miss the caliper when running 18s? If you've not tried, do you have a box of large washers sitting around to use as temp spacing material on each stud?

Haven't tried, got discouraged upon initially trying to put on.

I may try to take the IS-F backing plate off and put a smaller 250 or 350 shield on to test if that's causing it to touch calipers.
I'll see how much time I have between work at home, screaming home schooled children, and nagging wife to look into it.

To reach Pro Hacker status you use paint sticks between the bub and wheel, then snug the nuts checking clearance! This way way you just keep adding until it clears. Lol Obviously add equal amounts to both sides. That said, pretty much anything can be used for mockup if washers are not available.

So I thought was interesting that the IS-F backing plate/dust shield doesn't have the "bump-out" like the 350 one to catch more air. Perhaps because at the point of the 14" rotors that they don't reach a certain temp needing to be cooler by air as much as the 350s? Anyhow, well done sir!

I know, I thought it was quite odd, maybe cause the IS-F Brembos are also X-drilled? I studied the GS350/RC Fsport shields and they too have the bump for channeling air into the back of the disks.

The IS-F shields are about 1/4-inch bigger than they need to be for the GS/RC rotors, probably because IS-F is 360mm vs. 356mm?

I'm hoping the shields was the cause of the wheel hitting the caliper, I am hoping to test that this weekend, but first removing the caliper and putting wheel on to see if it it centers and clears the shield. If it is touching, I may try to fold the lip of the shield with some clamps to reduce diameter to clear, then try the caliper clearance again.

No go on OEM 18” from 06-10. Tested with no caliper and clearance with ISF shield is fine, 1/8 inch all around. Put caliper back and it wedges between caliper and shield.

So I got a spare from GS350 Fsport and got a solution for the 06-08 OEM 18s to fit.

After research and checking with others, the 09+ wheels and all the optional wheels (ISP, Gspiders, X-package) should fit.
It the poor design and taper on the 06-08 that causes the clearance issues.

IM gonna have to correct you again on this and say 14+ maybe fits compare to 09 and above. As I have 2012 oem 18s and doesn't clear as I stated in this thread. I already started the process of shaving the caliper. I aint trying to run 30mm spacer.

Guess its select wheels then. There was another guy on one of the FB groups who had 2012 F-sport 10 spoke and they clear his ISF setup (which is larger than the GS F-sport).
