Default SC400 OEM Struts/Springs

I've noticed that there is an early strut and spring part number and a later.
Basically a 92-96 strut and then a 97-00 strut. Same with the springs.

Does anyone happen to know what the difference is and whether the later part numbers could be used on a 92 SC400 car? Some of the early stuff is discontinued and I'm looking to keep it stock.

I believe it all should bolt up no problem. Someone please correct me if you know anything else to be true.

Thank you for the info. That's what I figured as all the aftermarket shocks show 92-00. I did notice looking through the parts diagrams it shows different part numbers for the bump stops and support assembly. Mid term cars also got different sway bars. I then found a few press releases for the 1995 cars. Many of them state "Several modifications have been made in regards to the front suspension. It’s been beefed up with a thicker 30mm stabilizer bar and lower arm stay for improved rigidity, while an upper arm bushing was upgraded from metal to rubber to calm the vibrato effect common in many performance coupes".

This is great information. I too ran into this issue as the 96 front struts are discontinued as well as the front strut mount brackets. However, for the 2000 Lexus SC400 models, I found the following at discountpartsmonster.com
front struts-------------Shock Absorber - Lexus (48510-29505) $69.41
front strut mounts----- Mount Bracket - Lexus (48681-24030) $102.71
front bump stop-----------------Bumper - Lexus (48331-24030) $25.09

Can someone chime in and verify that all these components from a late model SC400 will work on earlier models?

Are you sure those are actually available? I'm betting no. As for fitment should be good but someone can confirm.

I found the information today on discountpartsmonster.com
I can not verify that the parts are still available but according that site, they are.
