rear wheel struggling to move backwards
I upgraded the brakes in my 1992 Toyota Soarer with the supra TT front and rear brakes and also refreshed the parking brake with new hardware and shoes. I noticed afterwards the car has difficulty rolling backwards.
I lifted both rear wheels up and noticed one side spun freely, the other side can spin forwards but gets stuck when spinning backwards. It will move a little bit backwards and freeze up, spin it again forwards and then I can once again spin in backwards. When I took off the wheel off the can move the rotor in both directions but it is equally stiff in both directions.
See the pic, I can see an area where the surface rust is clean off even though the car was parked for a few months. I also started the car with it on jack-stands and the wheel that was moving freely actually spins forward in neutral (clutch engaged but in neutral), but I can stop it with light pressure. Any suggestion on what it could be?
