Akebono low dust pads and Centric, Power Stop, Raybestos rotors seem to be popular choice for daily driving. There's an extensive review on those on GS forum...

I just did online shopping for brake components last week and found the best prices on thmotorsports.com. Purchased StopTech Sport rear pads for my 2IS.

Give them a shot.

There's a million options out there for brakes now for IS350. Rockauto has anything from $7/rotor to $150/rotor. Pads are also abundant and in all price ranges. It all comes down to your budget.

For spacers (I just did a bunch of research on them from my big brake upgrade), don't go past 15mm front and 20mm to 25mm on the rear.
I had to use a 30mm to clear big brakes (this was temporary solution since I don't use my OEM wheels ever) and it was crazy out. Check this video.

R1 Concepts is a vendor here. Look at the vendor page towards the top. They offer deals frequently. I have stoptech slotted rotors with street pads and I quite enjoy them. I went with the black hubs to prevent rusting there and I think it looks better.

Yeah , appears so. I didn’t manufacture them, mount, or balance them. They ride as they should. Do you think there is an issue with the way they’re done?

I think mentioning it was due to the fact that USUALLY higher quality wheels (such as your beauties there) don't see such a high amount of weights being needed.

Had those same red Works aluminum lug nuts on some TSW Trakstar 4s when I had my street/drag Honda hatch.

Yea...it was the fact that they are expensive quality Works that still needed that much weight on one side to balance. Usually opposite of the TPMS, I see some weight, but unusually to see over 3oz.

I'm running the R1 concepts slotted only geomets. Along with centric semi metallic pads. Best combo i found for the heavy hippo AWD 250. I don't event need to get the upgraded 350 calipers. Unless I need them for tracking the car. Which I doubt I'll ever do. For daily they work great. The dust is decent, but heavy if you start hard breaking.

I never actually thought twice about it. But yeah , the other’s don’t have as many weights. I wonder if I should take them to a different shop to see what they think. Would the tires contribute to that by chance?

Sometimes the tires may add or shift some of the weights. I've noticed that the wheel has more to do with it, I've had wheels that always required extra weight on same spot. I've also had wheels that didn't need more than a single 1/4 oz or two.

I just got my OEM style pads and rotors from R1 Concepts for 160 bucks shipped. I think it was 80 to 100 dollars less for bing a CL member and they are pretty great. I do get a bit of noise here and there but it just may be bc my driveway is gravel. It's not much noise and its not to often I hear it. That said I'd order them again but I go with slotted. Great price great product and are WAY BETTER than duralast gold pads and rotors.
