Looking for more braking power
Hi all,
I currently own a 2007 Lexus IS250 RWD. I am aiming to do a brake job on my car before fall. Is "RR Racing brake kit for the front" worth it? I thought its the cheapest 6 piston brake kit out there for this car. I found that the OEM brakes are lacking for city driving however its perfect in the highway due to its smoothness. I am looking for much more bite due to aggressive drivers where I live. Please recommend other ideas if you have any in mind. Thank you for your quick response and the time reading this thread. Best Wishes.

For the best braking power, good tires are the most important thing. But to answer your post, have you thought about doing an IS350 brake conversion? Its like the cheapest "bbk" for the IS250. I believe it works with very little modification needed.

I recommend the R1 concept Geomet slotted rotors, and cheap centric semi metallic pads. I was thinking about upgrading my AWD to the 350 calipers, but with this setup it the most bite I need. R1 concepts is a vendor here. DM them for a quote on the rotors. As for pads you can get some ceramic of your choice if not interested in semi metallic pads.

Do an IS350 caliper upgrade if your wheels can clear them (OEM 17" and 18" work).
