Default 15mm Bolt-on spacers

Well 15 mm bolt on spacers work with the factory F sport 18 inch wheels? I know they’ve got pockets but I’ve heard conflicting reports that the stock studs have to be trimmed off.

Just installed 15mm H&R spacers all around on my base IS350 with half-downs. There was enough pocket clearance in the stock wheels to allow the stock studs to tuck in. No rubbing issues whatsoever. I could have put 20mm in the front easily without issues. But this is fine for now.

May be its placebo but I feel like the road noise dropped some. My theory is that the wheels are pushing the air away from the car and the air is not hitting the wheel well as much as it did before. Does that make sense?

I think it looks extremely good. I think the 15’s look just fine in front that’s exactly what I’m gonna do. My biggest question before I order the half downs is I was wondering if the stock F sport suspension is lower than the base model suspension. Kind of worried that if it is and I get the half downs it will look exactly the same

Well given that all the springs are the same between base and f sport models, i really doubt that the height is any different between the two.
If you think that your car is already low compared what the stock height should be, then may be the previous owner already put lowering springs? Check and see if the stock shock bolts have any wrenching marks on them. Then you know if was already opened. There is just no way you cannot put marks on the nuts/bolts if you open them.

Out of curiosity, how many miles does ur car have? Is the stock suspension weak if you have a lot of miles?
