ClubLexus member FLex has HKS coilovers on his turbo SC, I'm not sure if they're the drag ones though. He's not on much either but I saw them in person and they looked great. But, I was able to adjust my Tein's with an allen wrench while we were taking pictures at the Dragon and he couldn't adjust his "in the field."

any info would be great!

when i originally talked to HKS, they said they offer the normal hiper II kit for the soarer (1JZGTE) but offer nothing in the drag lineup...

i'm glad to hear that the supra drag kit will at least fit the SC...

I'll see what other info I can dig up for you.

Yup the HKS Hipermax II Soarer coilovers were the 1st set I had. Actually GadgetSC has my previous set on his car.

What kind of 60s do you want to cut? If 1.4s are good enough for you then I would save your money and leave the suspension stock!

I was cutting 1.50 back in the day first time out, so I am sure 1.4xs would not have been a problem at all with more practice, and this was only on a 26x10.5 ET Street... If you were running a larger tire (I guess depending on how much power you make and what trans/rear end combo you run) like a 28x11.5 ET Drag then I wouldn't be surprised to see a high 1.3x or a DEEP 1.4x 60 on 100% stock suspension.

I really have considered backhalving my car or doing a minitub, but I am honestly scared to because I don't want to HURT my 60s, or spend $6000 making it not streetable, and not gain anything.

sorry for the delay, i was driving the car home from texas over the weekend...

anyway, to pull off the kind of ETs i'm wanting, i'll definitely need to be in the 1.35 - 1.37 range... if i could pull some LOW 1.4Xs with the stock components that would be cool just to say "the suspension is totally stock"... however, my car has 150k on it so i'm not sure how up to the task my particular parts would be... if i'm going to spend money on buying new stuff, i might as well get the good stuff, unless i can find some low-mileage takeoffs on the forums...

has anybody fit a 28" slick under an SC without doing minitubs? the supra guys are pretty much limited to 27" slicks, so i was thinking that would be the max... i'm going to try test fitting some 28x10.5s soon...

what's the actual lowest 60' that anybody has gotten on an SC with stock suspension? how about any SC (not including backhalved cars, only counting those that still have IRS)?

Ebanks, can you email me at supra@***.net? i've got some questions that i tried mailing you with but never got a response...

thanks,
jeff

thanks,
Jeff
