my FLTA-2s blew the first week I had them due to a defective seal... my car is sitting on jackstands waiting for the strut to come back.... my friends came to him with one strut blown
make sure to keep something to ride on in case one blows... its not common at all, I didnt think it would happen to me though

well, it was a 4 hour project by myself with the help of a good friend of mine who kept standing by laughing at me as i struggled but we finally finished the car. here are some pix although, the car is dirty from all the greasy handprints. since the FLT-A2's are height adjustable at the spring as well as the bottom of the shock, it took us some "taking apart and putting it back together" action to get the car the way i wanted it. i wanted the front to sit lower than the rear to kinda even out the smaller arch in the rear wheel well. i didnt want to adjust the spring perch too much because i didnt want to comprimise the spring rate. as for the ride, its a little too soft for me. mind you, im used to having full suspension on a MR2 turbo which rides completely different from the SC. i will eventually go back and play with the suspension settings a little more.

I know u said u played around with the settings but did u lower it more than the way it was shipped or raise it? Also if you raise it all around all the way how does it compare with stock height? whatever the answer is do you know if that's the way the SF-1s are too?
And by the way It looks nice and agressive especially on someones rear view

Thanks guys for all of your comments my wallet doesnt feel so bad anymore, although my gf thinks otherwise. hehe, oh well... im just hoping i didnt purchase a set that will blow on me.
at first i lowered the fronts about an inch and a half before putting them on. i was thinking the JIC settings were going to be conservative. as soon as i got the fronts on, the car was on the ground and i couldnt even get the jackstand out from under the ground. after playing around with the fronts, i finally settled on a half inch lower from the factory. as for the rear, i left those as they from JIC. if you place the stock suspension next to the JIC's, it looks as if you could raise it up to stock height, although i never actually tried. with the FLT-A2's, they are adjustable from the shock body as well as the spring perch, i know the SF-1's are only adjustable from the perch. i dont have any experience with the SF-1's so i cant answer your last question.
i was thinking of BBS LM's. here's a photochop of ryan's car with the BBS's.
