Default Supra TT Strut Tower does not fit SC300?

Hey guys, I searched the threads and people were saying that the Supra strut tower bar fits sc300 but when I tried to install it, it's missing by quite alot. Am I missing something? I don't think there is frame damage. I have a 97 sc300. And the part I got for the strut is from a 97 TT Supra. Part no. PTR04-14930-07

Driver side fits perfect.

Passenger side doesn't fit the 3 bolts. This could probably be fixed by jacking car up but the fact that the distance is about 1 inch off i'm not so sure.

Passenger side is about an inch off.

It should fit, I remember reading on the sc300 it can make contact with the intake manifold so you have to use some washers to clear that.
Could be making contact but it does look a little long despite that so maybe the car has been tweaked or the bar has been tweaked.
edit* this is the thread
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/per...00-soarer.html

few people also mention in there it is a touch long, so maybe jack it up or the struts have to come out.

I saw that thread and was going to jack it up but since it seems such a far gap from the studs I just didn't see how it would fit. I'll have to try this again.

Do you have spacers underneath the bar?, I would start off by not having one side fully seated before trying to fit the other side. That wont work out very well, and yea you will probably need to jack up the front corners to get it to fit. I even had to do this with my OEM JZS147 strut tower on a 93' gs300.

Good to know info... I've thought about removing the struts from the top setting the strut brace then pushing the struts back up, but haven't had the time..

Supra TT bars will fit however the TRD bar doesn't clear the OEM GE intake manifold. I hear you can make it fit if you stack washers, however doing so kinda defeats the purpose of a 1pc strut bar.

As for installing a 1pc bar, you sometimes need to jack the front end up and put it on jackstands. I did this putting my 1pc bar on. After that I put the car back on the ground and tightened the nuts. I couldn't get the endplates on the bar to clear the coilover studs without releasing tension on the car body

If you are referring to the length , it will fit . Jack up the car while installing . I have it in two of my SCs that have GTEs . You might need spacers though with a GE engine so to lift it higher. Never tried it with a GE in there.

This, right here.. I got the time to install the strut bar on my SC400 and it sits, all the way down.. I couldn't fit it on the ground, so I placed it on Jack stands and it required a little convincing.. It was slightly off, but nothing 2 nuts and some massaging while installing an additional nut on the other side and going back and forth... I did remove the ABS sensor?? on the driver side... needed space to tighten the last nut. 1 downside, after I took it for a test drive. Did feel some vibration when braking, but don't remember if it was already there since I haven't driven it in about a month and my truck is starting to vibrate when braking... 2. TRD sticker is crinkled due to heat, SAD, other than that, happy with the result, feels more responsive on U-turns and turns, I tried before installation and after same area, speed. Some engine cover plastics are off because I was looking for an oil leak which I believe have found..
Here is some ocular pleasure..

Hi @BigBang did you ever get the TRD strut tower bar installed??? As many pointed out, spacers are needed to clear the intake manifold.
