Stock Suspension Travel

Does anyone know how what the stock shock travel or suspension travel is in our cars? I'm trying to get a reference point to compare to aftermarket suspension.

Also a follow up question. If nobody knows what the suspension travel is, is there a way to measure it accurately without taking the suspension apart?
