Those with painted OEM calipers
The dealership is going to replace both front calipers because of popping sounds while braking and turning. Now is a good time to paint the new calipers before they are installed. I would like to know how you guys with painted OEM calipers are holding up? Any lose of gloss or chipping or peeling problems? What method have you done (ie: type of paint)?
I checked local hardware and auto part stores and was able to find High Temp Dupi-Color in Clear but not in glossy black. Another store has High Temp VHT in glossy black but no clear coat. I don't know how compatible the two paint will be. Both paint are rated for 500 deg. Should be find for Guam road (mostly city driving with alot of stop and go). Rarely do high speed braking.

Hey Jim:
What brand of paint did you use? How many coat did you use? Did you also use Hi-Temp Clear coat paint? Did you remove the caliper before painting? Because Lexus is going to replace both front caliper I am going to ask them to give it to me for a few days so I can paint them before having them install it. The shop foreman said it is okay but haven't check with the service manager yet.
I am debating on how to do the rear. I am also having the dealer install the SS brake lines when they work on the front calipers. But don't know if the dealer would remove the rear calipers and have my GS take up some spaces at their shop while I paint the rear calipers which would take several hours.

I just upgraded to the zinc plated Bradi slotted and drilled rotors, so I am going to paint my calipers very soon. There is a nice write up here:

I painted all 4 calipers on my 93 RX-7, and bought a Caliper Paint Kit from California Custom Coat. The kit was nice, but probably not necessary, as all of the items can be bought at any auto parts store. Here is there site:

Good luck, and post pics when you are done!
