I paid 1800 for my first set of g-dubs, 2600 for my second set, and I just got the Dronnels so just imagine what I COULD be riding on for that amount of money!

You found CL at a good time man, and good luck with the whip!

Wait Hameed. I can't see how spacers can help the vertical gap in the rear. The spacers should push the wheels out horizontally along the wheel axle to fill out the wheel well. BUT the vertical gap should still be there right? Going to coilovers should help the vertical gap but I just did not see the correlation between the spacers and coilovers. Like the title says " I'm confused".

I should have been more clear with that comment of mine. Because the wheels are pushed out horizantally they come much closer to the fender, it creates an illusion of reducing the gap. It's hard to describe, but now the top of the tire is almost touching the fender.....

Am I making sense?

I did not realize the L-Tuned took it that low. Maybe the stock 17s are slightly bigger in diameter than my L-Tuned 18s. I used to have the L-tuned S/S too but without spacers.

No it is not lower, it is just an illusion simply because the horizantal gap between the fender and the tire is 1 inch less than it was before I added the spacers - this has the effect of making the tire look much closer to the fender. I don't have before and after photos, but the car looks waaay better on the stock rims with the spacers on. Once I upgrade the rims to 19's or 20's, then I won't need the spacers.

Oh yes, adding the spacers makes such a HUGE difference - mind you just in the look, not the actual vertical distance

Take a look at the pics on this thread taken from the back. They don't show the gap, but you can see how pushing out the wheels will create that illusion of the car having less gap between the tire and fender than without the spacers

Sorry guys, I know I'm a little late in the post but...

I would just like to say that 500 is a RIP.

In New Jersey I am going in Tuesday for the following...
Unmount 18" Rims and Tires
Mount New 18" rims to old tires above.
Mount New 17" Rims and tires onto one another.
Mount on car.
Coilover installation.
Alignment.
Camber Dwindling to make sure it can be to close as 0 as possible.

All that for only 380. 500 for just shocks/springs is ridiculous. Go elsewhere.

-Anthony
