The OEM part # for the Mount Bushing is 45517-30050 it lists for $20.71 and the Housing Bushings part # is 45516-30060 and cost $33.95 for a pair, I found several available at Lexus dealerships online.
It looks like almost ever aftermarket option is Poly, so maybe that’s the better way to go. I don’t think these bushings get the same work out ones in the suspension get. So maybe the Poly ones are the way to go. I know that I haven’t ever had to regrease them like I have had to do on a few of the suspension ones. Another option if you want rubber and OEM quality without involving a dealer would be Moog and Dorman OE brands. Both are going to be a big improvement over ones that have gotten hard with age. And these options are available online or at a local parts store like O’Reilly

I had no idea there was an oem replacement. I thought I read somewhere there are no oem bushings. Tough decision deciding which ones to get. I was leaning towards FIGS I just want whatever will provide the best results without sacrificing any ride comfort and won’t ever squeak or cause problems

To be honest, steering rack bushings are not nearly as influential as other suspension bushings. The idea of a steering rack bushing is to dampen out any 'unwanted' vibrations in the steering wheel. This provides a super smooth steering wheel and when they are replaced with harder bushings the steering will show a few more vibrations and just generally more feel for the road. They won't make the suspension any more stiff, it just tightens some slop up in the rack itself. And, a bushing that isn't under constant up-down movement (wink wink upper control arms or lower control arms) will generally not squeak, as the load placed upon the steering rack bushings is very minimal compared to that of a normal suspension bushing.

thank you! Someone who finally says the poly rack bushings make it stiffer and more road feel. I definitely don’t want that. I changed the upper control arms and lower #2 arm. Didn’t do the other lower arm because it doesn’t seem to be bad and there is no ball joint in it. When I put it on power mode the steering slop is virtually gone. I heard the L tuned steering ecu eliminates the dead spot in the steering wheel on the highway which is actually what I want

There was a used L-tuned steering controller on eBay last week. Let me see if it’s still available and I will edit in a link to it, if I can find it. I think it was about $70
Here u go, I have wanted it for myself however I haven’t had an extra penny to pay for it recently. I am surprised it’s still available, I would like to see it go to a CL member if I can’t buy it.
If u get it, you need to do a write up on it, and let everyone know what u think about it.

haha that’s funny I emailed the guy asking if I can return if it doesn’t work right. I’ll probably buy it just to try it out if it tightens the steering on the highway that would be great

The L-Tuned steering controller merely stiffens the steering by reducing the amount of assistance. It makes no mechanical changes to the geometry or the amount of play in the steering system. It has a different variable assistance program, for a stiffer, more responsive steering feel.

like using PWR mode right? I notice a big difference in steering using PWR mode.

eBay has a guarantee to get your money back if it doesn’t work, even though he “doesn’t accept returns” he is still listing it as a full working item. So u shouldn’t have any problems, if u do, u can contact eBay for a full refund. If there is any chance it’s defective the seller needs to clearly describe it as “for parts only” or “non-working unit” etc. It u buy it and decide u don’t like the way it feels, I am sure u could list it in the marketplace on CL and find a buyer quickly.

He said it came off a 2003 GS300 so he didn’t purchase it as an L tuned ecu it came off a stock gs300 2003 but he Swears its L tuned since he put it on his 98 GS4 and it tightened the steering. He said if it doesn’t work I can return it if I pay shipping so I might try it. My steering is already tight and heavy going slow since I changed mostly everything upfront already. It’s only loose at highway speeds but once you hit 80 it gets a little tighter. I’m hoping this will make it better on the highway and it seems it will based off what people say

I personally would not buy it if that’s the situation, we’ll not for $75 anyway. They use different steering ecu’ son different models. It could be from a GS430 or something and be different than his original one but still not an L-Tuned one. It sounds like it feels different than his original so he is hoping it’s an LTuned unit. If he could confirm in anyway that it was authentic then it would be different, I wouldn’t spend top dollar unless I was sure it was a bonafide L-Tuned one. I can get a used OEM one from a wrecking yard for only $10, so that’s about all I would feel good about spending on this one. This gentleman is clearly hoping to get top dollar and the buyer will not go through the hassle of returning it.
I really think you should just get the SuperPro bushings from Figs and I think you’ll be happy with how they feel on the road, and it’s unlikely you’ll ever need to regrease them or ever give them another thought. They are high quality, have channels to keep the grease in place, it’s not a spot that gets much deflection, so the difference between the OEM ones and if they were solid mounted wouldn’t be drastic, so might as well get affordable ones without worry they will ever wear out,

so much for that some sneaky **** on here obviously bought it after you posted it. It was sitting there for a while now all the sudden it’s gone. Ah well my steering is good when I put it in power mode anyway. If I do change the rack bushings I will definitely go with figs.

I ended up finding another one. A sport design steering ECU which is what that one from eBay was. Verified by checking part number on a parts site. 89650-30600 is the sport design ecu. I will report back with the results I’m hyped to try it
