yes of course u want to paint them before applying the decals... once you apply the decals you can apply a couple coats of clear coat to protect the decal too.

^ Personally on your ride, I wouldn't paint them any other color then black. I see you are about the "clean" look, don't ruin it with a bright stand out color on OEM calipers.

Personally... I think IS350 calipers are pretty big ... almost BBK like, so painting them would look good (YELLOW OR RED )

But IS250 calipers are just too small... it wouldn't look good, and they also don't have a flat side to them

I painted mine black and put a silver decal on it. It's one of many mods I've done to my car that I'm the only one can tell it's been done!!! No one notices it. Which in a way is a good thing.

Yeah, I was thinking black and only black if I did it... that with a silver decal. I think if it is done right it can look extremely clean and OEM... prolly gonna do it soon.

Anyone got pics of blue calipers on a Tungsten Pearl IS?
If anything, I'm thinking blue to kinda go w/ the whole F-Sport theme.

i've posted these pics up before, but not in this thread, so here it is again. i didn't take the caliper off completely. would've been cleaner but oh well haha but u can't see the not painted part with the wheel on, its impossible only with the wheel off. hopefully will get some slotted rotors once i need to replace my brakes. durability has been great too. no chips or nothing, painted, put the sticker on, no clear coat, still as good as day one! its been 2 months or so now of daily driving 40 miles to work.

I got the G2 caliper paint stuff for like 40 bucks on ebay and painted mine black about a month ago and I think they look fantastic. They do get a little dirty from time to time, but you can just wipe them off and they are still as glossy as they were the first day I painted them.

I don't think you will regret it if you do it.
