There is no such thing the bearing must be serviced with a press, or if you go caveman a slide hammer, Hub Tamer like tool etc.

So if I buy a wheel hub & bearing assembly kit it will come together already? My mechanic says he needs a bearing press to press the new bearing into the new wheel hub?? It makes sense but I’m not sure if he really would need a “press”

Picture is worth a thousand words (don't buy this brand)

Generally to do this job you need a new bearing and seal. Unless you can find a Koyo bearing at the various parts outlets buy from a dealer. Which is a Koyo bearing. Your mechanic is right to do the job properly a hydraulic press is preferred.

okay so my problem is my mechanic does not have any type of press. So maybe if I buy the parts take off the knuckle, and take it too a shop then can pull it off and put it on for me correct? I will have to pay them. Or can they even do that

Some shops will do that but you'll have to ask. It's a good plan I've done it a few times before I had a press. Here are part numbers for reference.

Find out who services Lexus in your area and take it to them to solve your problem.

Replacing a wheel bearing shouldn’t be rocket science for any competent Lexus mechanic.
