My new DSR Monoblock big brakes!

Well, what I normally do is stand on a scale and weigh myself. Then carry both calipers and weigh myself again. The difference divided by 2 should be the weigh of each caliper approximately. I know it's very unscientific, but what can you do?
Do the same for rotors too. Sometimes, the caliper weigh so light that the difference on a "human scale" is negligible, which is why I suggest to carry BOTH calipers to make the difference even higher, then just divide it by 2. But light is a VERY GOOD thing.

Another option to weigh your brake kit components. Go to a local deli or fruit stand and ask them if they don't mind weighing it for you. If your friends with them , it will work even better.

Here are some initial pics.
I had some idle time and played with my new toys.
However, forgot to get an iron cutter, such that I could not cut my brake shield.
So I need to get one before I can complete the install. By the way, all the parts fit perfectly, and made of very high quality material.

What I already mentioned, I did not install the big brakes, I just checked if it fits. I did not have all the required tools with me, so I just put them on (and also did not have the tools to cut the brake shield in the back). So that's why it looks a bit strange to the pros under us
Well noticed (but if you read my previous post, you would also know)
I also did not remove the original caliper, which are hanging in the back. Will need to find a metal saw/ cutter, since I do not want to take out the brakeshield entirely.

I asked Alex the same question and this is the reply I got from him:
Weight:
DSR 4pot caliper: 8.1 lbs
AP 4pot caliper: 5.3 lbs
I am surprised that the DSR kit only weighs 2.5lbs more than the AP 4-pot considering it's a much larger unit. Welp, I already had Alex to order a set of this kit for me. Will give impressions as soon as I receive it in a couple of weeks and have them installed on the car. I am liking the pictures so far.....

HKG - is that weight with or without the brake pads installed? I've only seen the Supra TT weight with the pads installed that I recall. Any members with them sitting somewhere that can weigh 'em without pads?

Pads are probably only 1lb. That's what StopTech said mine are. And they said my new calipers are 8.25lbs (without pads).
