Default Steering wheel popping noise/clicking noise

Hello,
Can anyone help me identify what could be the reason of this clicking/popping noise inside my steering wheel?

I had my suspension, bushings, arms etc. (everything about the wheels) checked just few months ago and they said that its all in good condition and that I have plenty of time before needing to change any of it so it doesn't seem to be connected to the wheel parts (probably?)

it's like something inside the steering ring itself, or maybe the plastic around it? Anyone has an idea?

Welcome to CL as a new poster.

Was the steering rack itself checked? Sometimes a defect or burr will occur or develop inside the rack, which can make for noises, clunks, and/or loose-play in the system.

hello, sorry for late reply. No the steering itself wasn’t checked. Just the wheels have been.
i’ll have the steering checked eventually, I was just wondering if anyone experienced this maybe, before I visit the mechanic.
