I was thinking about changing the silver trim on the lower door sils to black (my car is black) so that it blends in, and was wondering if anyone has done this (and how), or if black trim is available. Also, was thinking about how it would look changing the silver to black around the windows.... Thoughts?

 

if it's metal you can possibly get them powdercoated black...i like the little sliver of trim it's a nice accent

 

if you get chrome rims, it will all blend together nicer

Interesting thought. The chrome / black molding on the lower door sills was one aspect of the new GS I didn't like. I would have preferred a monotone look.

 

I'd think that lower piece of trim would really bring out the wheels, especially on a black car.

 

I love the little chrome piece. It really looks good when in the shade.
In the sun you can barely see it...
