Default Springs or Coilovers for GS 300, 430, 450h?

Hi,
Just wanted to know from fellow lexus 3GS owners which types of suspension will be better based upon your experience or type of setup on your current cars. I heard from people that have lowered cars with just springs that the stock shocks will die really quickly, compared to a coilover setup. Any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks!
Phillip S.

the tein ss is nowhere close to what i would pick, it's way too stiff. but i would pick coilovers over springs any day

What kind of coilovers are there for the 3GS now? Not too sure what's out for the car...

Agreed, as it stands today, this is one of the only times I would recommend springs over coilovers! As soon as the CS and HKS Hipermax dampers are availible, I will be changing my tune!

I heard that the HKS coilsprings are softer than the Tein's.....my friend used to track his Evo 8 and put on HKS coilsprings and said they were too soft..so they weren't right for tracking and went back to a stiffer coilspring setup. He said that it would be better to put on the HKS since it would feel much better. Any idea when HKS will come out with one???
