Default Lexus TTE Sport Springs

http://www.lexus-parts.com/parts_det...id=88870&all=Y

Just found it while doing a forum search. They have it on special for 3GS for $362. Anybody got these installed? Why are they so much more expensive than Tanabe? I wonder if those are for RWD only or can be used with AWD? Since they are being offered by Toyota Motorsport GmbH, do you link Lexus will honor these springs without voiding the warranty? My dealership (Ray Catena) doesn’t want anything to do with springs and lowering the car and warned me about warranty. Just wondering since this is an official Toyota part for Lexus, if they will treat it differently?

It is illegal for them to void your entire warranty on the suspension unless the springs are the direct cause of the problem. That is a myth. They tell you that bec they assume we dont know better

I know they are blowing a smoke up my... but what can I do?

Anyway, will call Sewell Lexus tomorrow to find out more. I have a feeling its probably for RWD. So far the web search on TTE springs brought back Eibach Pro-kits cross reference. Apparently, TTE in Europe is like TRD in here. And those TTE springs have an identical spec to Eibach which a lot suspect as the manufacturer. Hmm…

Most of the time it is just Lexus/Toyota rebranding the stuff. Same goes for Honda/Acura.

Rebranding is fine with me and I'm willing to pay a premium as long as it getting installed by my dealership with their own warranty (that's how I got my Sirius and Remote start installed through their sub-contracting shop), and of course as long as it works for AWD.

Twister please keep us updated on your findings...I also would love a drop and not have 2 void (rather have 2 go thru a back & forth with the dealer about why my warranty is in fact NOT voided) my warranty...
