I8ABMR & All,
A few days ago I8ABMR you recommended I check w/Tein to see if the HTech springs will work on AWD models. They said no & that they are looking for someone in their CA area with an AWD to test on. When I pressed them on the negatives using the HTech springs they responded with:

Thank you for your interest in TEIN High Performance Suspension products.
Unfortunately, we have not tested the AWD model of the '06 GS300 for compliance with any of our current product offerings. Additionally, we believe there may be design differences between two models, and would not recommend installing any spring kit onto a vehicle it was not specifically designed and intended for, as this could be a potential safety hazard.
However, we have noted your inquiry and can contact you via email in the even we release products for your application in the future. Please feel free to check in with us anytime regarding current or future product availability.

-Staff @ TEIN USA INC.

Tanabe stated basically the same message.

Looks like us AWD owners who don't want to runs the risk of potential problems using aftermarket springs made for RWD GS's will have to tough it out. No one in Cali will have an AWD model.
Many AWD owners have sucessfully fit both springs types with no problem. Any manufactorer will always strongly discorage potential buyers from using their product in an unintended way for a legal liability reason. They will usually scare us with a "potential safety hazard" crap
You will never in any case hear them saying "go ahead and try it and let us know if it works" event if you pledged that you will try it at your own ristk.

I am getting a set of Tein H for my AWD once my wife approves it.

Yes, you are on point which is why I've been asking AWD owners who have already installed new springs for follow up feedback. Unfortunately none of of those pioneers from late '05 &/or '06 have responded. I'd feel a lot better hearing from owners who switched out the springs at least 1 year ago. I had mixed results from Eibach springs installed on an Acura CL 4 yrs back (squeeking noise in the front that never went away after several attempts to correct). Don't want that drama with the Lex. What size wheels do you have or will have when the springs are installed?

I have the 18" 5-spokes from the GS430, so based on earlier inserts in this thread, would I do better with the Tanabe DF210 (2" drop), due to the amount of gap I have with the 18" wheels & runflat Dunlops vs the drop I would get with the Tein H Tech's or Tanabe NF210? Your thoughts & please keep me posted.

I have a 07 GS350 AWD in So Cal. About 30 min from Tanabe & Tein. Running the Tanabe springs now with vibration issues. I would let Tein take a look at it.

I think the NF210 are perfect for 20's.

i think the df 210's are the best way to go cause all the rest of the spring setup leave way to much of a gap almost looks stock height. just my opinion, to conservative.

I really want to eliminate that damn wheel gap. I have run flats, GS430 18' rims... but Im worried about vibration issues too. Sigh

Any luck resolving the vibration problem on your GS350-AWD using the Tanabe springs? I assume you installed the NF210's. Right?

Vibration is enough to drive you crazy, any more problems to report after dropping it.

Finally what size are your wheels? How much of a drop did you get. Post some pixs, please.
