Default TEIN Confort Sports just arrived!

So my Tein CST just arrived!
Now just wanted to know what memebers did first.

Should I go ahead and install the coilovers and get an alignment after a few hundred miles while on stock wheels?

or should I wait for my rims to be mounted first ? then lower it?

or do both at the same time? then alignment with rims on.

thanks for your opinions.

doesnt matter if you wait til you get wheels or not, that wont change anything. get an alignment as soon as possible when you put them on.

just had my CS-T's installed a week ago and my ride is actually in the alignment shop as we speak. ive put approx. 150 miles on since the install. IMHO.....put the coilovers on, wait a week or so for the alignment, then put the wheels on when they arrive. personally, i hate cars with aftermarket wheels and stock suspension!!
here a pic of my 3GS and how yours may look with stockers.

are you sure it wont change anything?
because with my stock wheels, I may need to adjust the coilovers lower to close the gap, and with my 20" rims, I might need to raise it up some, so when changing my suspension level, it affects my alignment. now if I get a alignment done before the rims, then when i go to put my aftermarket wheels on , wont i need another alignment?

as soon as possible? members say to wait a few hundred miles for the springs to settle before alignment, is that correct?

thanks man! they are adjusted so i have about 1/2" of drop left. 3/4" MAX. and YES, i would def recommend adjusting them prior to the install. outta the box, you get very minimal drop at all!

Do it all at once, wheels and all. driving on the wheels wont wear much unless your putting on more then 1k of miles weekly. A few hundred miles wont show much wear, after it settles in get the alignment.

I didn't want to drop my car till i had wheels, so my springs sat around for a little bit of time. no need to rush into it IMO. the GS does look nice dropped on stocks, but i dont like to ride like that unless i have a major problem with my wheels.

congrats. do everything the same day. that's what i did. 2 weeks before you do alignment won't really kill your tires unless you drive like a mad man

tein cst is nice stuff, though i wish it can go lower

Definitely wait to do the alignment especially with the time you need to allow the springs to settle properly. Will you be getting wheels in the near future or will it be a while? Chances are you will need to adjust the height of your coilovers to the wheel/tire combo you choose.

Thanks man, I have been waiting anxiously to get these in, and with your help and other CL members, I have decided on the wheel/tire combo, and those have been ordered, but i wont see the wheels until another 3-4weeks. I dont mind waiting on the drop.

oh yea, i forgot.

my wheel shop wanted to test fit the wheels on the car, to see if there will be any rubbing with the different tire sizes.
I think i will have to lower it and roll with stocks for a month or so until the wheels come in.

Stratch the: wait and do it all idea.

imho, i would execute in this order:
upon wheels delivery, install coils
wait 1-2 wks to let springs settle
during this time, m/b your wheels and put them on, and adjust your coils to your liking
after 1-2 weeks, get alignment done
post your pics after all done
