Default gs350 rwd springs on gs350 awd .

since i am having issues with the lowering on my AWD i was thinking if it would be good to put the gs350 rwd stock springs on my 350 AWD which will give it a little drop. i am not looking for an aggressive drop but i believe that the rwd gs springs will make the car lower. does anyone know how much of a drop would the rwd springs give me on my car. i was also thinking if it would be very similar to stock springs ??

When I was doing coil spring research three years ago I think the GS300/430 RWD and AWD had the same part number for the coil spring only. THis is one reason why I went ahead with Tanabe's at that time.

i don't understand because the rwd sits lower than the AWD because the springs on the AWD are higher no ?

True, but I think the front and rear strut assemblies were different part numbers. I know it sounds weird but maybe the strut assemblies added the .5" difference in ride height? I have the GS300/430 RWD and AWD suspension spec's at home. I'll re-verify, and attach an image. You should go on the Toyota Technical website and do part number referencing.

I am not sure if you can do that, I have not heard anyone done that before. But I think it might be doable.

I remember what I did. I went to the parts counter at a Lexus service center in San Jose and asked them to pull up the part number of the coil spring for a GS300 AWD and RWD. I remember him showing me on his computer that they both used the same part number. Also, I believe that same part number was used on the GS430. Basically, it's quite possible that the factory springs between the RWD and AWD is the same. The main difference is the dampening and design of the shock absorber (struts).

are you sure because the springs on the awd look really tall. i believe that if u put the awd springs on the rwd the car will sit high like the awd no ??
if it would work on to have the rwd springs on the awd gs it would be perfect for me because all i need is a slight drop when i am on 22s and the ride will be straight up stock.
what do you think?

It's been a while and I'm not 100% sure. I recommend that you should go to a Lexus part counter and find out for yourself if the coil spring part numbers are different.

Also, I would recommend not rolling on the 22" wheels anymore. Your rolling diameter is at least 2" larger than stock. I've heard that "scrapers" (mainly Buicks) rolling with those ridiculously oversized wheels/tires causes problems with the drivetrain.
