I had 20" rims installed right before Christmas on my 2007 GS 350 AWD. Then about 5 days ago I had F-Sport Springs installed. I live in the Philly area and we have had temps in the 20s for a couple of weeks now. I never noticed any vibrations at idle on my stock set up. After I did my homework and read all these posts on AWD lowering over the last couple of months, I really paid attention at idle to see if I could notice anything. Maybe I did . . . but not convinced . . . maybe it was just in my head after reading all the posts. Then after the rims went on I paid attention again . . . still not sure I had any issues. Now that I have my F-Sports on, I am convinced I have some extra vibrations; at idle, in gear, when stopped with my foot on the brake. Sliding the car into neutral does completely resolve it. Also, it is much more pronounced at start up when the car is cold (or maybe that just because I really pay attention right when I jump in the car in the morning.) How bad is it . . . in my subjective opinion, not bad at all. I would say it is very subtle. I am not at all concerned, and much prefer the aesthetics of the 20" wheels and subtle ~1" drop. That OEM set up is just ugly IMO on the AWD. The handling is also much improved and I have much more confidence taking turns at higher speeds. Reduced body roll, better feel for the road, more responsive steering, and now I smile when I walk towards my car in a parking lot, whereas I used to just stare at the wheel gap and wonder, "What were they thinking!" I have finally solved my only beef with this car. Those terrible OEM rims and that crazy 4x4 stance that the AWD comes standard with.

I have the same feeling, when I approach my car & it's in full 4x4 stance. Drives me crazy. I'll probably go with the F-Sport Springs too & allow the nearby Lexus dealership to install them. Sure I'll pay more for labor vs an aftermarket shop, but I can nag Lexus until I am satisfied & the Lexus suspension specialist should know best how to get everything near spec with the new geometry. Did you install yourself, used dealer, or 3rd party shop?

So after 9 pages of discussion, would majority vote be that the NF210's are the preferred lowering solution for a 06 GS300 AWD?
I have been reading and researching as much as I could on my own but just haven't been able to put my finger on it yet. Really don't want to deal with the potential headaches and aiming to attain the factory ride as much as possible.

Back to stock springs
Gentlemen,
I finally decided to go back to stock springs and got NF210 off this past weekend. I am not very happy about the 4x4 look but very happy with not having to deal with vibration and wobbling. I can clearly feel the difference in handling and ride. When someone finds the solution in lowering AWD without issues, I will probably go back again.

i just dont see how that would make any sense whatsoever... the only way i could see it making sense is that the vibrations that go throughout the car must be dispersing through the soft oem suspension and by adding springs or coilovers your blocking the vibration from going through the suspension since its stiffer and it travels throughout the car and maybe that's why you feel it? still doesn't seem feasible though.. anybody care to chime in?

trust me, its been long debated. not everyone gets the vibration and it varies when it happens. some people get it when the car is idel, others get it from 0mph to 10mph and others get it all the way up to 20 or 30mph. not to mention as you raise the car up more, the less vibrations you get.

in 1 week im doin my 06 awd. tein stech springs.
im just going to drop the front end and take it for a boot with the front lowered and see if it vibrates, if it vibrates bad im just going to rip them off.
right now the car has no vibration at idle. 0

well.. thats weird.. i wonder if thats why they make the AWD sit higher than the RWD? only reason why im asing is cause my mother is thinking about getting a GS350AWD and she too likes the way the RWD GS350 sits vs the AWD but i dont want her to have vibrations if she lowers it.. does the GS350 RWD suspension setup directly swap into the AWD GS?? would be something to look into for people that dont like how the AWD sits vs the RWD
