Default Coilovers vs. Springs???

What up fellas...I plan on dropping my car soon. I would like some input on the differences on coilovers vs. springs (other than the price difference), or just leave it the way it is. I called this place in San Diego, and the dude told me to do springs (Tanabe). And the only real difference is that with coilover, you can adjust the height (and the price difference). I would like to maintain the smooth ride, and not rub. Any input is greatly appreciated. Also, I attached pictures of my car.

One more thing, I'm running 20x8.5 (fronts) and 20x10 (rears)

ive never been a fan on springs for the fact you cant adjust them. ive seen it on many forums, people complain after a few months of owning X spring because its not low enough and they go with a different spring and the cycle just repeats itself. by the time they are all said and done they could of went with coilovers.

for me i prefer coilovers for the fact you can adjust the height of the car when needed and you also have the option of adjusting the damping of the strut (most coilover kits allow this).

i went with the tanabe nf210 springs because i knew beforehand that i didn't want to slam my car. i only wanted a mild drop, and my tanabe gave me what i wanted.

if you fall under this category, then the nf210 springs are for you. it is the closest to stock ride you will get with springs. if you plan on going lower than what the nf210 provides, you should just go straight to coilovers. keep in mind that with coilovers you will lose AVS, but most people with coilovers will say they don't care if they lose that functionality.

I actually just decided on this same topic. I wanted to lower my car, and springs seemed like an obvious choice becuase of cost, but in the end, with the lack of adjustment, and potential for sagging that I've read about I decided to go with coils instead. Watiting on them to come in within the next week...I say go with coils unless all you want is a mild drop, then springs would suffice like stormforge said, just remember no adjustability is the main issue.

ive had several different sets of springs......going with coils this time because the adjustment is a nice feature to have.....sometimes i feel like going low others times i want a more conservative/practical drop.....best of both worlds

what type of wheels are those? what are the offsets? the drop is going to make your ride look sooo much better

also debating this same topic. I have AWD version so vibrations and staggered setup on AWD are my main concerns. I'll probably go with the NF210 springs.

Here's a question about tires. If I decide to go with 20" wheels, will 35 or 30 profile tires that are not run-flats produce more road noise than my 50 series run-flats on 17" wheels?

Didn't mean to hi-jack the thread...
