Darrel has been great for me. Well I have the apsss feature not AVS. But what the documentation says from Lexus it won't work with AVS.
Way I look at it one way to find out for sure

if anything i am pretty sure your car has avs (most gs430 has it). if you have the sport/norm button on shift plate (by the side of the seat temp control, then you have avs.
i doubt you have apsss, don't think it was an option at all until 07 450h and now on gs460

Couldn't tell you? When I first asked you and flipside called it apsss?
Either way I just opened the box and the instructions say 06 + and one thing about avs or anything.
It does note that some 06 models may not have some part but its okay. This gives me hope again.

The AAPS (advanced active power stabilization) did not become available until 2007 (430 only, not 350). I have an '06 430 manual and there is no mention of it. In US, GS350 has never been offered with AAPS (again, according to conceptcarz.com).
The installation instructions for the GS350 RWD Sway Bar Kit state that the conflicts are GS350AWD and GS350 "equipped with active stabilizer control". Must be that other countries could get GS350's with the AAPS(?). The good news is that it doesn't say that there is a conflict with '09 350's with the AVS.
However, Nowhere does it state that this part is OK for ANY GS4XX.

you probably confused? avs is always about the shock dampening, apsss is always about the sway bars

Nope. There is an old thread in here. I asked about springs vs coils. Everyone said to go with springs.
I called it active suspension guessing what it was called. I was told I had apsss and not to get coils. I'm just going by what guru's called it.
No biggie either way. Now I know what its called. Haha

The sway bar kit is listed as a 350 part only, and the instructions have 2 peculiarities:
1. in the "conflicts" section (2 listed), one is that it can't be used with "active stabilizer control": perhaps the 350 is offered with AAPS in other markets outside US.
2. the part is listed for 06+ 350's and 350's didn't arrive in US until 07 year model: perhaps the 350 was offered as an 06 year model in other markets outside of US.
It DOESN'T list a conflict for 350's with AVS.
Bottom line--most likely, they don't want to market the part as a 430 or 460 part 'cause they want(ed) you to spend the $3500 on the AAPS.

Standard for the 450H, optional for the GS460.
Also, GS 450H/460 that have aaps will come with runflat tires.

Oh well, my kit is in and I hope to get it installed tomorrow on my 430!

Well the bar will work if you have AVS. There is not one thing that is an issue.
I would like to see a pics with the aaps. Can someone with this take a pic and get under your car. I will get as many pics as I can so we can see if and where there may be a hold up.

Finally!!!!!
installed on my 2006 GS430 and there are no noises or issue to report.
HUGE shout out to Darrel at Sewell Lexus for all his emails and help. Darrel was sending me emails on SUNDAY!!! Yes SUNDAY!!!!
So I replaced all end-links and nuts. Did not reuse any of the parts and not sure if this helped or not but I am 100% happy with the 50 miles I just drove the car.
