Default Good shop to have F-Sport Sway Bar Kit installed in Dallas, TX?

Dallas Folks,
After reading Inertia's confirmation that the F-Sport Sway Bar kit works on '07 430's, I ordered mine online and can pick up locally tomorrow at Sewell Lexus. However the Sewell service dept (Steve?) wants over $500 to install it... can you believe that bull*****?

Know of a trustworthy shop in Dallas to do the work?
After reading the issues that Leeladisky is having, I'm thinking there's a right and wrong way to do the install.

Thanks!

I was chaerged $223 by my lexus dealership. Try another dealership. Sewell is charging what lexus recommends which 223 for the front and 223 for the rear. My dealership had the shop manager look at it. He estimated a certain amount of time and thats what they charged me. Try a different dealership. They should be hard up for business. Removing the sway bars is a joke of a job. shop around

Thanks. I called up Park Place Lexus and they'll do it for 220. Still more than they deserve, but at lease i "trust" them.

This job is as easy as you can get. If you can turn a wrench, you can do it yourself. I did the rear in 20 minutes with the removal of both the rear wheels. Took it off the end links, unbolted the 4 bolts, jiggled it out, put on new bushings and it was on. $223 is a complete rip for a 20-30 minute job. The hardest part was pulling the OEM bar out with all the stuff in the way. If you could wait until Mid-August when I visit my friend in Dallas, I could put it on for you for a case of beer. You could take a slow #2 in the restroom and I'll be done by the time you're back.

The front is different. I'm gonna do it Monday with the use of a lift. Can't really do without a lift, since you have to drop the subframe and that thing is heavy. It shouldn't be too bad, but I'm guestimating that this shouldn't take me more than an hour and a half at the most.

called a local Toyota dealership to see if they would install the sway bars on my AWD. they said they would, however they couldn't give me a quote since they don't know how long it will take (this all coming from the service receptionist). I was never able to talk to one of their service reps...on hold forever and gave up, will try to call back later and get an idea of what they can do.

after the outrageous quote I received from my Lexus dealer ($1100), would taking it to the Toyota dealer be a bad idea?

funny thing is I called Lexus of Louisville after the email quoting $1100 and the service rep in Louisville said it's a 2 hour job and $120 for the front and $90 for the rear. i hate to have to drive 70 miles to have this done, but for $900 savings, that might be what I'll do...unless you all think Toyota can handle this install.

thanks to sprintz,
I got my installed at the Lexus dealer closer to where i live but about 40 min away from sprintz's dealer. I drove to the dealer and talk to them in person, told them that the other dealer quoted me at $200 (f&r), they are ok with the quote right away. The tech did scratched his head cause they never installed this before so they have no frickin idea how long it would take.
The same dealer, when I called and talk to service rep for the quote, he said if i not order parts from them, they would not do the installation.
I could've install it myself, its pretty easy. It just that the clicking noise that some are having scared me a bit that is why i had it install at the dealer.
Its been 3 days, no clicking noise at all.
