Bump... Has anyone confirmed this? I am not finding any manufacturer that supports the GS460 which appears to be because they have not tested the products on the GS460.. I am looking to lower my 460, but want to figure out what brand works best and is most comfortable.

Thanks,
-D

I think Leeladisky went with TTE lowering springs in the end. That makes a ton of sense because they are for GS460 and they are OEM.

The F-Sport springs are specifically designed for the GS350 models without AVS. Since your GS460 is packaged with AVS (Adaptive Variable Suspension), the F-Sport springs are not compatible with those shocks per TRD USA.

avs is only on the shocks, what does spring have to do with it?

or you mean the springs are not designed for gs460 in general from weight point of view

I think the concern is that the front of the GS460 is heavier and so the front springs have to be different than the GS350 springs in order to keep the car level.

it's possible, the gs460 is about 130lb heavier. but that seems relatively small, considering that's the weight of an adult. for example springs on gs350 and you can have 3 adults in the back sagging the rear suspension.

but either way, unless the whole upper mount is different, i don't see how avs will affect springs. a lot of members with avs setup (gs430, gs450h, and gs460) and they are on springs

^ to add to rominl's comment above...if you look at tanabe's website for NF210 springs, you'll see that the application chart for GS350 RWD and GS430 uses the same spring (part # TNF112), for the 3GS.

http://www.tanabe-usa.com/nf210.asp?id=2

imho, that means spring application for V6 and V8 GS RWD is the same. and for the record, i have no problems whatsoever with my NF210 springs on my GS450h (an application that is not even listed on tanabe's website). again imho, f-sport springs for 350 should fit the 460 (as long as stock 350 spring shares the same part number as the 460 spring)

I had installed F-Sport lowering Springs on my GS460, and they are working very well.
I think there's no problem using F-Sport springs on GS460.
As Rominl said in his comment, AVS is not affected by the springs.
But I'm not sure whether Lexus applies warranty when you use the springs on GS460.

I just talked to one of the application specialists at Tanabe and as stated above, they said they don't have the 460 on their list simply because they haven't tested one. They are actively working to test one he mentioned and they do intend on using the TNF112 part # as well. They guy told me realistically, it will work fine and the 100 lb difference will only lower the car a bit more and should't affect ride what-so-ever. He also mentioned that as far as he knows, there is absolutely no difference as far as suspension between the 350, 430, and 460 (maybe 450h as well). He said the AWD is the only one he knows they changed suspension setup on.

With that being said, Stormforge, with you having these on your 450h, do they seat properly? Also, with your car being about 400 lbs. heavier than the 350/430, do you know how much more of a drop you gained from the listed drop on the 350/430? Also do you notice any ride difference or noises with these?

Thanks for the help.

the springs seat properly, no problems at all. at the most i may have dropped a quarter of an inch more at the most, but to be honest i haven't really checked. do a search here on the pics i've posted up, and you can see for yourself how my stance is.

the tanabe nf210 springs ride very close to stock. if you were to do a double blind test, you would not be able to detect a difference unless you were very sensitive or aware to small changes (yes the tanabe is that close to stock feel). no noise problems whatsoever.

Storm, Thanks for the information. I am trying to decide whether to get the Tanabe or Eibach. My brother knows of a couple people with the F-Sport springs on their Lexus's and they have mentioned that by the design of the springs (one end of the springs have the coils much closer to eachother) they knock every once in a while. By looking at the Tanabe's, they appear to have the same design. The Eibachs have been designed where the coils are spread apart top to bottom. Any insight on this?

FYI... I just got off the phone with Carson Lexus (l-tunedparts.com) and they said the TTE's are no longer being imported in so they are unavailable. Unless any of you guys know of other websites that can get these, it looks like we are stuck with Tanabe, Eibach, F-Sport, or Tien in which none of them have tested with the GS460.

Just go with Eibach Pro Kit springs and you will be very happy.

if you are worried about the knocking every once in awhile due to one end of the springs have the coils much closer to each other, you could always get spring isolators (available at auto parts store). it's basically a sleeve that wraps around a coil to prevent the metal coils from "knocking" against each other when the springs compresses. it looks something like this:

i don't have any experience with eibachs, so i can't comment on it.
