Default Springs and ride quality?

What springs will give a mild drop, look good with factory wheels and 20" wheels that would have the best ride quality?

I like the look of the Tanabe NF112's, what about Eibach or L-Tuned or others?

your going to lose some ride quality no matter what but for a mild drop it will still be pretty comfortable. tanabe is pretty popular along with tein.

You might wanna try Swift Springs. I have them on my GS460 and they are excellent with very minimal ride control degradation. The drop is as per what you are looking for 1" front and 0.8" back.

I have Eibach springs. The total drop front and rear is an inch. Ride quality is still very good and very comfortable. However, the difference is in the body roll.. with the springs installed, there is much less body roll when turning!

My F-sport dealer told me that the Lowering springs improve cornering, create more road sensation, and as a result you will feel the road surface more which means ride degradation if you want smooth ride. This is why I opted not to lower my car, but get the sways upgraded instead.

The ride on the GS is harsh as it is - harsher than my sport suspension equipped 3 series.

my friend from work has eibach springs on his IS350 he says they ride like stock. drops it about 1.3 inches. If anything go with the f-sport springs. I am getting them shipped tomorrow. If you want I can post a mini review on them.

Although it depends where you drive. The worse the roads the more you notice. Coral Gables has pretty good roads. Miami Beach and Brickell not so good.

It may be the run flat tires. But with AVS in sport mode and run flat tires, the ride is seriously harsh. You can feel everything.

Car and driver agrees with me. If you want flatter cornering and a firmer ride just buy run flats.

You're probably right. The run flats blow. They are super loud too. Why don't you take it out of Sport mode?

I do. I tend to use sport mode only when I am driving aggressively or if I am taking ramps at speed.

My run flats are not bad though. The Michelin PS2 run flats give tremendous grip, great rain performance and decent road feel. And the hard side wall when combined with AVS sport mode means cornering is very flat. Most people think I have APSS. Once I get the F-Sport sways it will be really strong in corners.

As far as the F-Sport springs, and lowering springs in general go, I've read that Lexus' suspension design from the factory has one side higher than the other. Once you get the springs installed, I'd really appreciate it if you could shed some light on how bad it really is. Or if anyone that already has springs (preferably F-Sport) installed and settled for that matter, is it truly that aesthetically unpleasant? Thanks!
