Has anyone done an upper strut bar yet? I don't recall seeing anyone posting about this. I would assume we loose all the covers if we use it.

I had my struts replaced because they were leaking.
One question, for people who have a awd and got the springs from fsport, do they fit perfectly? And is it covered under warranty? I'm about to buy a set from Sewell and they told me it's covered but other places said they are not because it is only for rwd. I don't know what to do.
Thanks in advance.

GRRRRRRRRR. My sways shipped with the old bushing marked "AB".
Very disappointed since they specifically said the old stock and bushings had been purged and all orders were shipping with the updated bushings.
Going to have to call in the morning, but figure this pushes my install off at least a week.
I'd advise everyone to check the bushing markings before having them installed.

The part number is the same as it was before: PTR02-30100. What you need to know is the new bushings have "ZD" mark on the bushing whereas as the old bushings have an "AB" mark. ALL OLD STOCK IS BEING REMOVED FROM INVENTORIES.
Here's the TSiB just released. Click here

Hopefully, if your dealer ordered direct form Lexus, they will be the updated bushings and fit correctly. Either way, I'm sure your dealer will make it right, even if it means a second visit to swap out the correct part for the front. I'm just glad I checked them before going to the trouble to install myself.

I sent a note to my Lexus F-Sport specialist to check whether I had the correct bushings.
I asked him to check for "PTR02-30100 and check that the new bushings have "ZD" mark on the bushing whereas as the old bushings have an "AB" mark."
Here is his response:
"First of all, the Part number they told you is wrong. PTR02-30100 is only the part number for a front sway. The correct part number is PTR02-30090.
The AB embossment versus the ZD embossment is inconsequential. Either bushing will require regular greasing to eliminate the squeak noise. This is standard procedure on performance parts of this type. They are polyurethane bushings, they must be greased.
The bushings I have here have the AB embossment, and I’m told by my Parts rep. that Lexus wouldn’t distribute the parts if there was a problem with them. These are all recently ordered Parts. Not old parts that were sitting on my shelves. These just got here from the warehouse in Jacksonville. With regular and proper maintenance, there will be no problems."
I know for a fact he ordered the part just over a week ago so If I have the wrong part, then Lexus is still shipping the wrong part.
I am inclined to agree with my Lexus dealer - the information above has to be correct. I cannot believe that both Lexus Corporate and Sewell Lexus would both be shipping old parts.

Also, your guy's comment on the parts and greasing is not the issue from what I understand. The markings are significant as seen in Darrell's photo, we just need to confirm which are the right ones. The old parts were not the right size, and allowed a "clunking" as the bushings did not completely fill the bracket. New bushings are 2mm taller/longer and eliminate the noise.
edit: the bushings do not feel like poly to me. I've installed poly bushings on 2 of my other vehicles, and the Lexus F-Sport bushings have a different composition and feel to them. Also, I'd like to think that if they required a regular shot of poly grease, that replacement brackets with grease nipples on them would have been developed/provided. My other vehicles came with new brackets for the bushings that had a grease zerk on them and the bushings had a recessed race for lubrication.

So how will you know if your bushings are old or new if the markings don't tell you? If you don't have an old bushing, you can't tell whether the one you have is bigger or smaller.

Sewell is shipping me the updated bushings. Darrell was very responsive and I should have the replacement parts in a few days. Once I get them, I'll be able to confirm the size/markings difference.
edit: updated bushing set PTR02-30100 was shipped as the part number specified in the TSB. TSB clearly states that "AB" is the old bushing set to be replaced with "ZD" parts.
