Default F-Sport Sways Installed on GS460

I had the F-Sport sways installed on my GS460 on Friday, and have since driven around 200 miles.

My overall impression is positive. I wouldn't say the difference is substantial, it is rather incremental. However, you do notice it is sharper in cornering. I think the non-sport mode is better, and the sport mode cornering is now amazing (was very good before). I do feel more confident taking ramps at speed now than I did before.

For the price it is a highly recommended upgrade and I am glad I did it.

There was one problem though - I get thumping noises from the sways at lower speeds on uneven road surfaces. I don't notice this most of time, but on city streets I notice it.

Even though my parts were ordered from Lexus after April 30, they still shipped the parts with the old defective bushings. I emailed the TSB to my dealer and have asked him to order the new bushings and get them installed this week. I haven't heard back though.

I just wanted to check one thing with you guys: Is the issue only with the front bushings? I only heard sound from the front, but I am also closer to the front. The TSB only refers to front bushings. I wanted to double check this in case both need to be replaced.

No APSS. Just Active Variable Suspension (AVS).

The Sways help the AVS. The AVS is trying to keep the car flatter during cornering, and the sways reduce the effort needed to keep it flatter. So the net effect is the sways make the car even more flat during cornering.

I test drove a 2011 BMW 550i and I would say that AVS in Sport + F-Sport Sways is delivers better cornering traction than BMWs ride control sport mode. It is a little better than sport but not as good as Sport+ to use BMW analogy.

That's a huge statement right there! If that's true, believe me that would be my biggest selling point!

I drove the F10 550, and I though the handling and body roll on it was breath taking!

So far, only the front.

Does your car also have runflat Michelin PS2 tires? The tires are also a key element of the advantage of the F10 550. Its tires and suspension. My GS460 has the same Michelin PS2 run-flat tires, AVS set to sport and F-Sport sways to enable incredible cornering grip.

So do you think it is worth it ? I just dropped my car on the F-sport springs on Saturday and It rides great. I like the 10% stiffer suspension. It feels more responsive when I make turns. So i can only imagine it will be about 10-15% better if I add the sway bars.

yes, computer controlled sways. when going straight, it loosen up for ride. when taking turns, it tightens up (more if harder turns).

drove 450h with it, purely amazing
