Are my F-Sport Sways missing a bracket?
I had my car at Lexus of North Miami the last couple of days to fix a rattle. When I returned to pick-up the car the tech said that whoever installed my F-Sport Sways had forgotten to put back the bracket on the right rear.
I told him JM Lexus did the work and he was completely shocked since he thought it was sloppy work done by some after market shop.
Anyway here is a pic that he took. Let me know whether he's correct, and also how risky it is to drive the car like this?

Since it was installed by a Lexus dealer, it has a warranty and the other Lexus dealer should install it properly for you at no charge... provided they have the part in stock...

**** what is it with these people! Does Lexus have no QC over its dealers, or is it the local gene pool in Miami being full of dimwits!

wow that's just horrible and stupid word by technicians... another proof showing that dealership work doesn't mean it's better. it's more about the tech...
like others said, yes, definitely need a bracket there. is it a bit deal for you to drive around, no, i don't think so. but at the same time i wouldn't push my car hard either. keep in mind, sways are sort of handling component to help leveling the car, so normal driving, i think it's ok

Just avoid taking freeway flyover ramps at close to twice the advised speed (the yellow speed under the big arrows on the signs) like I usually do... or is my goal to do...

I wound up having to order those brackets myself not too long ago, so if you choose to DIY, the part number information is below. I know you shouldn't have to, but just for piece of mind I would install the bracket myself and check the bolts on the other brackets.
Whenever possible, I avoid letting anyone work on my cars anymore. I've had too many bad experiences over the years, with several manufacturers and dealerships in different parts of the country. It just seems like no one takes pride in their workmanship anymore.

I did some homework on the hardware for the F-Sport rear sways, and it turns out that the bolts and brackets are the same ones used on the IS-F. I ordered them from lexuspartsnow.com and they fit perfectly. Here is the part info in case anyone ever needs it:

just be glad that tech isn't working on engines.
miss a nut here and there, makes the next recall scary. I wonder how often master techs make mistakes like this

I definitely feel a difference with mine in corners. Much flatter and no roll.
I'm sure dealerships are following the trend and letting go of experienced/higher paid workers and piling everything onto less experienced people.
