installing Springs tomorrow any advice
I couldnt find a DIY for a GS350, but found one for an IS.
Any thing I need to be aware of or any modifications?
ON the IS, they talked about cutting the bump stop in half?
What is the AFS sensor?
It said to load the Lower control arm before tightening bolts.
Silver and Blue dot orientation
etc etc

it's pretty much the same. i used the same DIY instruction to install my coilovers.
not sure if you are asking how much need to be cut, but since you are reducing suspension travel, it's entirely up you whether you cut it or not.
AFS is adaptive front lighting system, and it has self-leveling feature. there are two sensors on driver side, front and back. you will need to remove the rear one from lower control arm and put it back in to original, correct position, otherwise you will get a warning light. check here.
i think preloading is proper way to intall and torque down your suspension, and
for your info, this is the only torque spec i could find
gl with install..

Its the same as the IS350 check the FAQ thread I started. I found that most of our suspension parts are the exact same as the IS.
You dont need to mess with the AFS (leave it alone) no reason to loosen it up. I have installed springs and coils on many IS and GS models and never once had to mess with that. Its not in your way to work on the car.
Having a 2nd person would be a good idea to give you a hand. If you get stuck just post pics and we can help out.
edit: I did not cut my bump stop and your going with a more conservative drop/spring so IMO dont cut them. Also make sure you use something to line up the top and bottom (white chalk would work good). This way it all lines up when you mount it back to the top and bottom.
