Major Issues After F-Sport Spring Install
#17
If any of you guys have more suspension issues I have a full set of RWD shocks/springs that I was sent on accident instead of 2gs suspension. Not sure why there are bottoming out issues but fortunately for me I see them more on the RWD than the AWD setups.

Hey, I do have the a similar issue with my 2006 Lexus gs430. I just noticed a hitting sound that comes from the back when I drive over a speed bump. I checked that with an auto shop and they said my left strut is blown out.
How did you fix it and where did you get the part from? Was it too much work to get them replaced?

Simple fix. I bought two new OE replacement rear shocks to replace the originals that had blown. I put my F Sport springs back over the new shocks, and everything is great. Here are the parts you need. The labor at a local shop cost me $160.

More details please, I'm about to pull the trigger on coil overs.

It's no coincidence. Your shocks have a oil seal at the top that the shaft slides through. When you installed lower springs, the shaft goes further into the shock. If there is any rust, dings and/or crud on the shaft, it goes through the seal, damages it and the shock starts leaking.

Old thread resurrection....

There's a reason they have a dust boot fitted, and not run inverted!
