are you looking to go with coilovers which is your concern with disconnecting as in removing or concerned with adding lowering springs and disconnecting as in AVS not working anymore?

I'm lowered with tanabe springs, no issues whatsoever. AVS functionality is not disconnected with lowering springs.

^ correct, springs wont effect it as its in the shock. if you go with coilovers, you'll lose the AVS function

I lowered my 3GS with the F-Sports, not disconnect or no issue's for the time I had it. AVS was still working tested in Sport and Normal mode with no issue's. No bottoming out either.

Thanks for the information. The reason I'm asking is that I have a coilovers from my previous car which is IS350. I was going to use it but now I'm going to buy a drop springs instead.
