Default Need Coilover Suggestions for 06 Lexus GS430...HELP!!! Cant make up my mind

I've been debating for 2 months now on which coilovers to buy and simply cannot make a final decision so i'm reaching out to someone who may already have Coilovers on there car to give me info for what i'm looking for:

In short, i'm indecisive between the BC BR series Coilovers, Tanabe Sustec Pro Five w/TEAS, or the TEIN Street flex w/EFDC. I use this car as my daily driver and basically looking to improve handling of the car without sacrificing too much of the ride quality. I currently live in Kentucky where it does snow but doesnt really stick, but during snowfall the roads are petty to say the least. I frequent Chicago as well at least twice a month so lowering the car is something that I'm most definitely interested in doing in the spring/summertime but not the most important. I'm a spirited driver so I would like a set of coilovers to handle and perform with the way that I drive. Please somebody help me get in the right direction based on my needs...any info or insight is greatly appreciated!

Tag. Looking to do coilovers on mine as well and was leaning towards BCR.

Do they offer different spring rates? If so which is recommended?

The most popular coilover we sell for this car are the BC Racing coilovers. GS guys love these for the reason that we offer these with custom spring rates to match everyones driving style. Some really neat features on these are the fact that they have large 53mm shcok bodies, 30 way adjustable and fully rebuildable here in the US. They also come with a 1 year manufacturer warranty and replacement parts are always in stock.

While your under the car, you can always check and make sure all your bushing and control arms are still good. There is nothing though you "need" to replace.

I have the BC BR's with swift springs. Used to have tanabe sustec pro-5's on another car (350z), but cant compare how the tanabes would do on the GS. Steering is alot more direct. If you hit a pothole/dip/ledge that pops up outa no where you'll definitely feel it. If you slam it, make sure you have the right tire sizes or your gunna rub on the fender line quite a bit.

Ride on the BCs are good. I have them pretty soft in the front and need a few clicks in the rear.

The tanabe PRO 5 are not worth the $1500 compared to BC. The advantage of the PRO 5 is you can purchase the electronic damper control module which is another $400. At Close to $2K, you would be better off than with either an air suspension or the KW Variant models with their progressive spring rates.

Regarding the custom spring rates, where would I go for some guidance on what spring rates to request?
I have a 2008 460 and live in an area with mostly smooth roads, but a fair amount of rougher terrain. There are a few bumpy, single lane roads that I take to get to and from work so I'd like something that handles well but maintains decent ride quality.

12/10 for the GS460 though alot of guys do go 14/12 as well due to the added weight of the 460

Thread revive...

figured to bring this back instead making a new one. Stock shocks gave up so I'd like to ask if anyone has experience with Raceland coilovers? For less than $480, it's almost too good to be true. Yeah it's budget coils but I wanted to see if it's worth getting. I've seen BC & Megans prices which are above 750, but I'd like to get any responses for Raceland in particular before I start a WTB thread for coils. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Racelands, in every other application that I've seen, are crap. Anytime I hear someone say, "It's not that bad" about something, I tend to steer clear.

TEIN Street Advance Z Coilovers

I saw these run for $500! Maybe I'll go for these? Those coilovers run above 1.5 grand is almost like buying bags, so kinda wanna go budget coils. Plus I'm already looking at a Scion TC to daily so that's where my other money is going to.
