Popping sound in suspension

Popping sound in suspension
04 Lexus GS 300, 124,000 miles, all original. Occasionally makes a popping/clunk sound when backing out of garage or pulling forward from dead stop. Purchased new set of tires, took in for balance & rotation, and was told tires were “cupping”. Thanks in advance .

If it happens after a change in direction eg backing up + braking = clunk and then forward + braking = another clunk, that could be your rotors shifting position against the studs.
Were the rotors recently removed or replaced?

Thanks for the feedback. Have new tires and recently went in for first balance & rotation. Was informed that tires were coupling. Thinking that a suspension component is causing the “popping” sound and tire coupling. Now have to find a competent/honest shop that can diagnose the problem.
