Thanks. So the Swifts do not droop as low as the Tanabe's also?

I always thought I read the the Tanabes drop the least (higher) and the Swift drop lower but are not as soft as the Tanabe's? So this is wrong? I am about the install on a 13 RWD.

Here are the drop specs for each:

https://www.tanabe-usa.com/nf210.asp?id=2

https://swiftsprings.wpengine.com/pr...sport-springs/

I recently swapped to Tanabe and they are definitely lower than Swift. If you want a higher ride, go with Swift.

Ok great so you had both. So Swift higher, got it.

So between the 2 did you feel the Swift rode softer also? Did the swift handel better than stock still? What year GS do you have? Thank you. So many have been trying to get a answer to this question.

2016 fsport RWD

I swapped out the Swift because they weren't low enough for my liking - ride was good but the gap eventually kept me wanting more. I wanted to go lower but not RSR superdowns low therefore decided on the Tanabe.

Tanabe's are a little stiffer but I dont mind as I like the sportier ride. There was a slight performance difference between Swift and stock because the center of gravity is lower but the difference was marginal in my experience.

Everyone's preference is different but If you're looking for overall comfort and height, go with Swift. If you want a slightly sportier and lower ride, go with Tanabe (they're newly installed so only time will tell if the ride degrades).

Im content with my setup (for now)

Ahh...... just the exact info I was wanting and from one who had both. Thank you so much. So funny as it is, just about 30mins ago, I was looking in that Pics thread and saw your car. Did not realise it was the very car yours that we were talking about here. When I saw it in the pics thread I went, what a nice GS and wheels, brake color and drop. Then I come here see your post, click and there the same car I just looked at 1/2 hour ago not remembering you are the same guy. lol! Thanks!!!!

Now I want the Swift springs. I got the Tanabe Springs and spacers from someone who installed put only 1k on them took them off and got the RSR Down springs. So up to The Market Place Goes 1 Set of 4th Gen GS Tanabe Lowering Springs For Sale!!! Taste wise the Swift will be my Cup of Tea. Looking for a Set of Swift springs RWD?

Do you still have the Swift Springs??????

No problem, we all share the same passion. Glad to help.
Still have and keeping the Swift springs as a backup option.

Share pics when you get your car dialed in.

Ahhhh one last dumb question of my confusion please? So I am about to sell the Tanabe ones I have, and Buy the Swift ones. Reading about the RWD, AWD, and Swift and Tanabe.

Are the Swift the ones that everyone is complaining about the springs being a at a un-even height difference for the front vs the Back? Or was it only on the AWD?

I'm trying to understand if it is a issue for the RWD with the Swift. Thanks.

The swift advertises .8 all around so that would make the rear lower - it did for mine as well. In my experience, this is typically corrected by coilovers or having the front lower than the back.

If you're worried about height/wheel gap issues and comfort and I see you have a '13 GS so it wouldn't have AVS yet. Just get coilovers, you'll thank me later. It's worth the extra cost and they're miles easier to install in the front.

I do have AVS. I want to keep the AVS, but thank you.

RSR Basic-I coilovers are AWD and AVS compatible.

Yes and thanks I so much appreciate all you Guys info you are giving me. The RSR coils are $2k. Bit more than I want to go. The swifts will do it for me drop and just a bit firmer for less roll.

on AWD RSR down rake is not reversed. For a mild drop on AWD, the car sit's perfect.

So for AWD, RSR Down springs correct the reverse rake of OEM springs? How about the ride quality? Is it similar to OEM or more harsh/stiff?
