Excitable Boy

I loved my Pilots. I had four over seventeen years. The power was always adequate, it not inspiring. They were definitely better trucks than the Explorers and Grand Cherokees that preceded them. I think my TX500h is a very nice step-up.

I have a TX 350 with only 530 miles on it and I went to Steamboat Springs in Colorado and I totally enjoyed the quite smooth ride (traffic jam feature, DRCC cruise control, vented seats, WOOHOO), I will say there was a section of high grade incline that I had to floor it with my wife and I in the car, traffic came to a crawl and then I had to floor it, otherwise it was great. Comparing it to my previous 2016 Sienna (266HP) and a 2023 Camry V6 (301HP), I'll take my TX any day!

I gotta say when I jump on the interstate before I know I’m easily doing 85 like it’s nothing. I was expecting a slow engine but the turbo definitely gives it the punch it needs. Wish it was a twin turbo but the single does just fine and provides adequate power. Since driving I’ve never had the thought that it was underpowered.

I was skeptical with the TX350 4cyl Turbo coming from a 2016 & 2020 RX350 v6. I was pleasantly surprised with the performance. Didn’t expect the performance to be like the German suv’s but it’s enough for me. I have a car with a v8 if i have the need for higher performance.
