Default Installed a 3rd party one bought from EBay

Followed the video on YouTube, a little bit cutting of the sound shield.

Default EBay Running Boards

They look great. Just wondering why you didn’t use the factory ones? And what is involved in cutting the sound shield?

I’m thinking of getting them also, mostly because the way the doors are designed you can see all the mud, grass, etc on the bottom of the doors when you open them. This used to be under the bottom of the doors on all vehicles and you couldn’t see it. But running boards clean all this up.

thanks

because the price difference is huge, the one from eBay is only $290 shipped. Somehow my dealer is very nice and find me a TX without any accesorios, so that I have the chance to find 3rd party accessories that I want and save maybe 2-4K.

the cut of the sound shield or heat shield is minimal, just watch the YouTube video below. I did it myself

Doyou have special seat covers installed on the front seats? Not a fan of aggressive seat bolsters that make the seats uncomfortable for wider butts!

Sharp eyes and Yes, put a simple seat cover to protect all 6 seats from my dogs. We got the birch light gray color and the dogs paws and the kids’s cleats will not be friendly LOL

I got mine installed at $1090+tax at dealership. Did not want to gp thru find aftermarket and installer. It looks good though.

Running board looks good.

One of the TX models that I test drove had the running boards. I felt that they made entry/exit more challenging. To me, they're in an awkward spot where they're not really useful to step on to get in or out, but in the way so I have to step over them. I'll pass.
